Bizarre dream: (This was too long for my usual dream space)
I'm at a school, and a strange man takes me by the arm and drags me into a room where my mom, dad, and little sister are tied to chairs. There is also a strange machine in the room, hooked to a laptop. The man tells me that the laptop senses my presence, and the machine is a hydrogen bomb and will explode if I try to mess with it. To provehis point, he drags me over to the laptop, which has geen lights that glow red as soon as I come near. He then laughed and ran away.
I free my family (not my real family--I don't have a little sister) and they pick up the bomb and the laptop and we go outside. The bomb has a number of scary lights over it, as well as a constantly-running image of what it will look like when it blows up. We decide to disconnect the two items. The operation goes well, despite our fears that we're about to blow up Seattle. We start to suspect that this is all a big joke.
We go to the Fremont Bridge, and after much discussion decide to throw the bomb into the canal. We do so, ad hold our breaths. no explosion. We're safe. the laptop has ceased to react to my presence. We're going to take the laptop apart anyway, to make sure there's nothing weird about it.
It was a lot more frightening than it sounds in the retelling.
