Well, it's official so i can mention it here: I am officially a regular employee again. Health insurance is a good thing. I like the job, and the people are good, and life is pretty cool.
Hm. i just got knocked offline. I maybe not get this uploaded tonight.
So I talked to my parents, telling them about my new job. My dad, as usual, gave me shit. *sigh* I wish i could let him not get to me. I'm doing really well at the moment, i'm an independent, happy adult, and I'm not that cowed eight-year-old any more.
I don't want to deal with him any more. And yet because I like my mom, i can't refuse to speak to him.
Coming home from working out, rainclouds gathered darkly to the east, moving towards the lake shore. I watched the cobwebs of rain come down against the slate sky to the east.
Two blocks away from home, I felt the first raindrops. The sun warmed my left side as the breeze started picking up. And up to the east, the sun refracted off the raindrops and a rainbow stretched across the sky. It was the first one i'd seen for months, and for a few minutes I stood on the porch and looked at it.
I forget sometimes that there are miraculously beautiful things happening all around me, every day. Today's beautiful things were the rainbow and the tulips in the neighbor's front yard.
There is an into the wreck entry coming soon. I just need to find the time to write it.
